I meet a guy on here and I really liked him. But what happens when after chatting a few weeks to a month and he ask you to loan him $300, to fly back from Nigeria to the US? I told him "no", he wasn't happy about that at all. Communication basically ceased when I didn't send the money. Then I started receving other IM's from guys in Nigeria. The conversation basically starts the same, then comes "money". Who are these guys and how do they end up on dating websites?
Hello fellow lovely lady ! Yes, the sharks are swimming around this site as well. Scamming happens on so many degrees, so more obvious that others ! There are some men that have photos up from like 3 years ago ! They don't look thae same anymore. Or my personal favorite, the ones who have those great catch phrases above their profile photo so it will entice you to check them out, talking about how they want a woman to treat like a queen or love forever. Then you get to know them and find out tha more...

Then you get to know them and find out that they'd rather be playing video games all day or is addicted to internet porn ! Geeze ! It's like that classic Chris Rock joke...when you're first getting to know someone you're not meeting them...you're metting their REPRESENTATIVE !
I wish you much luck, you are a beautiful woman with more to offer than some deserve. Never settle for any less than you get in return ! less...
When I was on here before I ran into a string of these guys too. And yes, it does make you leery. All I can tell you is to trust your instincts. And I'm glad you decided not to send them the money. You seem to be a smart, sensitive, and compassionate woman and someday someone will know exactly what treasure lies within.
Hi, thanks....that's exactly what I think these guys are doing. Because I keep getting hits from guys in Africa. The last few guys, I even asked them were they passing my name around?
There was a TV program, here in the UK,a few months ago. The reporter posed as a woman, and got many replies. Several were from Arrica. So the reporter chats for a few months to them, and these 'men' are saying how they're in love, and want to see the reporter (thinking he's a woman)then they ask for money, saying they have lost ALL their money, and can you send some cash. Anyway, the reporter tried to arrange to visit the men,who thought he was women, none would give their address,NONE! So the reporter more...

In a room, was about 20 computers, about 30 men,all of them were talking to women from all around the world, trying to scam them out of their money. One black guy,had a photo of a white guy on his profile. And the photo turn out to be that of a Canadian model. Just be carefull everyone.xxx less...
They're scammers. They end up on dating websites because they think that people who are actively looking for a mate = lonely, desperate, and vulnerable, especially if it's a woman. We all know this isn't necessarily true, but some nicknames can looked like easy prey to a predatory type person. Did you know that it is against LFs policies to solicit funds from members; the person in question can be reported for abuse? Look for the link at the bottom of their profile page. Good luck!
They are scammers trying to get money from you. They are all over the place on dating sites and sending spam emails trying to get money from you. Be careful!! If you come across one, report them to the dating site immediately.
Report him to LargeFriends. This happened to me also. I didn't fall for it either and I reported him and they removed his profile. Good luck in your search!
I am sorry to say that you have unfortunate pleasure of meeting a dating scamer.
These are low life scums who use online dating to earn your trust/love and then ask you for money.
Their photos and who they say they are, are fake, and they can be very good at it.
You can do a search for online dating scams that will give you more information and tell you what you should look out for.
The sad part is that these guys and girls make it so much harder for the real people that are here looking to more...
